Hosted Marketing Pages - The New Rage In SEO And How You Can Profit
By Max | June 27, 2007
Today I got an email from Textlinkbrokers.com. They have accepted my sites into their text link ad inventory. In the email they also mentioned that I could create a “Hosted Marketing Page” and get paid for that too.
Essentially, they send me a webpage to upload to my server, and then I link to it from my main website. The page they send me will contain information and links that the advertiser provides. I suppose some genius SEO guy out there figured out that getting these pages all over the internet works well for search engine rankings. I think I am going to give one of these a try and see how it works out. The payout is on par with the payout for a regular text link. Perhaps they will care less about the placement of the links on the main page which would allow me to sell more inventory.
If you want to see an example of a Hosted Marketing Page, check this out. The page is entirely about the advertiser. It is however hosted by another site. This setup must trick the search engines into thinking that the page is a real vote of confidence in the quality of the site rather than just a paid advertisement.

Hi there,
yes - you are absolutely right with your assumption.
Hosted marketing pages are also known as “hosted content” or presell pages and in fact should really contribute to a site’s content…
so there’s no point in you hosting a website about knitting… irrelevant content doesnt help.
Also the older and trusted a site is in google, the better - for your advertisers and therefore earnings.
best regards
