Does Feedburner Work With Yahoo?
By Max | June 6, 2007
I finally got feedburner installed on this website. I heard it was all the rage among bloggers, so I signed up. You can grab my feed here: http://feeds.feedburner.com/HowToBuyWebsites
There is just one problem. When I tried to add it to my Yahoo news reader, I got an error.

After contacting Feedburner support, they pointed me to their forums where the issue is addressed. It is a known issue, but no one seems to know how to work around the problem.
Its weird because this feed works fine with google. I think it worked before ran through feedburner too. If you have any ideas let me know.

I’ve used feedburner for a while and found it a good way to manage feeds, though I’ve never used it with MyYahoo!
I’d highly recommend netvibes(.com) as an excellent online reader though - it’s how I pick up your feed!

Aha, So thats why I haven’t seen you commenting around here lately. Just using the newsreader? I’ll let it slide this time.
I had to add my feeds to google to get them to work. I guess thats why Yahoo is getting beat down. I’ll check out netvibes though. Thanks for the tip.

What is the error? I am sure I managed to submit my own blog’s feed to Yahoo without any problems (using FeedBurner)

The error is that they couldn’t find the RSS file. Its weird because underneath it did show the titles to my posts, but it won’t add the feed to the reader.

Busted! Yes, I’ve turned into a feed whore!
Make sure you have a play with all of the settings in your feedburner account - including FeedFlare, under the Optimise tab as it can make your feed a bit more interactive.
