Foiled Again Trying To Buy A Website
By Max | April 21, 2007
I put in a bid on this website the other day. The seller claims that he paid $18,000 for it a few months back. I don’t know if I believe him, but I guess it doesn’t really matter at this point anyway. The reason I was interested in this site is because it has decent forum traffic, and the design of the forums is quite nice. I already own a Final Fantasy site, and it would probably be a good idea to combine the forum traffic to create a better bulletin board with a decent readership.
Unfortunately, I got outbid with a max bid. I don’t think I would have gone that high anyway. $4000 was probably my limit. The seller claims that the site once got about $600 a month in revenues. I think this is questionable since I have a lot more traffic on ff-fan.com and most months I am lucky to break $1000 in revenue.
